Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing this website, requesting a site survey, accepting a quote, or contracting Claridge Solar Kenya for solar PV and water heating installations, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Site Surveys & Quotes

We offer free site surveys for residential and commercial premises in Nairobi and selected neighbouring areas. For long-distance counties, travel costs may apply and will be aligned beforehand. All quotes generated by Claridge Solar are valid for 30 days from the date of issue, after which we reserve the right to adjust pricing based on market costs of equipment.

3. Payments & Financing

Our standard terms of payment for equipment supply and installation are:

• Residential Projects: 70% deposit upon contract signing/order confirmation, and 30% balance immediately upon successful installation and testing.
• Commercial Projects: Milestones as detailed in the specific commercial service contract.
• Accepted Methods: M-Pesa, Bank Transfer (EFT/RTGS), or approved financing plans from partner banks and SACCOs.

Title to all solar panels, batteries, inverters, and water heaters remains strictly with Claridge Solar until full payment is received.

4. Installation & Site Preparation

The client is responsible for ensuring clear, safe access to the roof and property on scheduled installation days. Claridge Solar's engineers are licensed by the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) and will execute work strictly according to national standards. Any structural deficiencies in the client's roof that prevent safe installation must be corrected by the client prior to work commencement.

5. Warranties & Claims

We pride ourselves on quality and back our work with the following warranties:

• Solar Panels: 25-year performance warranty (manufacturer backed).
• Solar Water Heaters: 5-year warranty on tanks and collectors.
• Workmanship: 5-year warranty on all physical installation connections executed by Claridge Solar.

Warranties are immediately voided if the system is opened, modified, or repaired by unauthorized technicians, or in cases of force majeure (acts of God, lightning damage, grid surges, etc.).

6. Limitation of Liability

Claridge Solar will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from power grid failures, variations in solar radiation, KPLC power surges, or incorrect user operation of the installed hybrid inverter and batteries.

7. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes arising out of these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Nairobi.
